Real Madrid: Improved results in the last weeks (Recent form: L W W W W)
Real Madrid have some problems in La Liga where the team is already 5 points behind Barcelona. They made 1 lose and 2 draws in games at Bernabeu and thanks to these results are now behind their biggest rival. But in the last couple of games in La Liga improved their results with wins over Alaves with 2-1, Espanyol with 2-0 and Getafe with 2-1. Much better performance in Champions League group and top of the table after 3 games. Real Madrid beat Apoel easily at home with 3-0 and Dortmund with 3-1 in Germany, so another 2 wins against Tottenham now will secure their first place. The team has some injury concerns with Bale, Carvajal and Kovacic injured and out, but won 6 from last 7 games in all competitions which is pretty solid run.
Tottenham: Great form in all competitions (Recent form: W W W W W)
Tottenham won with 1-0 over Bournemouth in game from previous weekend thanks to goal from Eriksen in the second half, while just before international break beat easily Huddersfield with 4-0 away at home. They are in form after 5 consecutive wins in all competitions, also without a lose in 9 games - 7 wins and 2 draws. Most of their problems in this season are at home (at Wembley actually where they are playing the home games), while in the visits are just perfect with 5 wins in 5 games from all competitions and 15 scored goals. Alli, Rose and Lamela are injured and will miss, while Dembele and Wanyama are close to return in the squad.
NOWGOAL BETTING VERDICT:
Last meeting between these two teams was in 2015, when Real Madrid won with 2-0 in friendly game, while last official meetings was in 2011, when Real Madrid got two wins with 1-0 and 4-0. But now both teams are in form after Tottenham won 7 of last 9 games, while Real won 6 of last 7, so here I expect an open and over game.
